These terms apply to roofingstratford.com and to roofing, cladding and drainage work carried out in Stratford, New Jersey and the surrounding boroughs. Using the site means accepting them.

Our Services

Roof replacement, roof repair, leak tracing, storm damage work, roof inspections, siding and gutters and downspouts, on residential property. Work outside that list is declined rather than subcontracted.

Use of the Website

The pages here are written as general information about residential roofing. They are not a survey of your building and nothing on them should be acted on as though somebody had been to look. A measure is what produces advice specific to a property.

Estimates, Scope and Payment

A written estimate states a scope, the quantities behind it and a total. That total holds for the scope described and does not change because the job proves slower or more awkward than expected.

It changes in two circumstances only. Where you ask for something different, the alteration is priced and agreed in writing before any part of it is carried out. Where concealed decking is found to be worse than the sheet count allowed for, the per-sheet rate already stated on the estimate applies to the additional sheets, which are photographed as they are replaced.

Payment stages are set out on the estimate. An invoice matches the estimate line for line, with any signed alteration shown separately.

Scheduling and Weather

Start dates are set against the forecast. No covering is opened unless the same working day can also make it watertight, so a wet forecast moves a start. We give as much notice of a move as the forecast gives us.

Intellectual Property

The text, photographs and layout of this site belong to this business. Quote a short passage with a link if it is useful; republishing pages wholesale is not permitted.

Disclaimers

A roof is a building component exposed to weather and it has a finite life. Work carried out is described accurately and carried out carefully; no part of this site promises that a building will be free of every future defect.

Limitation of Liability

So far as the law allows, liability arising from the use of this website is limited to what you have paid for work carried out. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
